We seek to positively impact the health of our clients by promoting healthy nutrition and an active lifestyle, and by implementing measures aimed at achieving superior lighting, water, and air quality, and ensuring outstanding acoustic properties.

An abundance of natural light inside the homes is the common feature across the project. For its part, artificial lighting is aligned with the circadian rhythm, directly influencing the physical and mental health of residents. Shading elements will also be integrated for added comfort and visual acuity. Furthermore, the use of home automation and sensors, which can be individually adjusted, will create unique experiences.

Indoor air quality is another top priority for creating healthy and comfortable environments. In addition to benefitting from advanced indoor air filtration systems, residents will be able to check in real time the ambient conditions in their homes and in the common spaces that are regularly used.

Thermal comfort will also be monitored to provide the greatest level of comfort for all residents.

We will further implement drinking water treatment systems to ensure the cleanness and appealingness of water, and avoid the intake of harmful substances.

We take account of any aspects that can negatively impact health and act upon them. That is why we will have protective barriers against disease agents in place, and ensure that common spaces are smoke-free. We will further promote healthy lifestyles, provide information of interest to users, and create facilities that foster active living.

Adopting a circular economy methodology and having a low environmental impact footprint are two of Sphere Sotogrande’s primary goals. We lead the field in developing a Life Cycle Analysis residential project, implementing materials passports, reusing grey water and creating a favourable environment for circular life.

We have third parties audit the design of the facilities and the commissioning. Upon completion, we verify by testing that the projected high performance is actually matched in the completed and ready-for-occupation building. And we go the extra mile by monitoring conditions over one year of occupancy and seeking feedback from users via client satisfaction surveys.

The scheme is conceived as an integrated whole. Here the homes, buildings and urban areas come together to achieve the ultimate

purpose. The ambitious objectives in health, wellbeing and sustainability proposed by Sphere Sotogrande must be set from the moment the project is designed, with a joint vision and strategy.

We take both passive and active measures aimed at ensuring the highest standards in sustainability.
Passive measures include the orientation of the houses, building envelope insulation, treatment of voids, shading, thermal bridging, and air tightness.

We consider the choice of construction materials, waste management and subsequent recycling, design for adaptability, adaptation to climate change, sustainable transport, and water management.

For their part, active measures include double-flow mechanical ventilation with enthalpic heat recovery unit, advanced radiant air-conditioning, indoor air filtration and sanitation, on-site renewable energy generation, and the use of aerothermal energy, sensors, home automation and monitoring.
